I think I am your Facebook opposite. I love that I can still connect in some way with people I wouldn't see otherwise. I've even "met" some unexpected people on facebook, who probably have no idea how much I enjoy visiting their life. I enjoy seeing children that I wouldn't be able to meet grow up, and some days, a picture of a beautiful vacation (that I am not on) helps me make it through a day in a grey cubicle. Not all of them are happy all the time, nor do I expect them to be, and some of them who struggle have the best attitudes I have ever seen. They remind me to keep things in perspective, and that people have issues every day that they are fighting through. Maybe I'm lucky in that I don't see "likes" as approval or disapproval of my life, nor do I feel the need to post only "positive" spin like in the video you linked to. It is just a tiny window into life, and that is how I use it.
